Principal’s Message - 4th April 2024

Dear Brothers and Sisters, 

 

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

 

We are reaching out to our beautiful Taqwa community in these last ten days of Ramadan and beyond to help out the less fortunate children within our community to access education in an Islamic environment. 

 

There are extremely genuine cases in our community where without your help and support, many vulnerable children may not be able to access an Islamic education for one of more of the reasons below:

- children rescued from the church environment or state care (eating pork etc.) 

- children whose parent/s are in jail

- double and single orphans

- children with old parents

- children of single mothers solely dependent on Centrelink support

- international students and refugees 

 

We meticulously assess the circumstances to ensure the cases we consider for support are most in need as the assistance we can provide is very limited. For the fear of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and having compassion towards our brothers and sisters, we simply cannot turn our backs on them. 

 

Taqwa School has consequently foregone over $50,000 this year alone in fees and other associated costs such as uniforms. As you will know though, the school has its own operational needs and financial obligations to meet including our project to expand to Years 9 and 10 next year inshaAllah. 

 

We are seeking parents to sponsor a child's school fees for a year to help the school strike the right balance between supporting the most in need and sustaining itself financially. 

Part sponsorships or any donation amounts are also welcome. 

 

Your generous contributions will ensure that we continue providing Islamic education to the least fortunate, and help these children learn and grow just like our own children inshaAllaah into productive members of our Muslim community and ummah as a whole. This is inshaAllaah a form of Sadaqa Jaariyah and we make du'aa' that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala accepts it from you and reward you multi-fold in this world and the Hereafter, especially in these last nights and days of Ramadan where all noble and sincere deeds are multiplied.
